NEW EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF OCEDC

The Oconto County Economic Development Corporation (OCEDC) is pleased to announce that it has hired a new Executive Director. OCEDC which is one of the oldest of its kind in the state is comprised of elected officials of every community in the county with business and industrial representatives, all working together. OCEDC has a dual role. It functions to advance and encourage both economic development and tourism.

paul_ehrfurthThe new Executive Director is Paul Ehrfurth, of Green Bay. Paul has over 30 years of experience in urban planning, economic and community development. His specialties are strategic planning, business retention, business incubation, grant procurement and organizational development. Most recently he operated his own consulting firm, Paul W. Ehrfurth and Associates. His past job history includes, Vice-President of Economic Development of the Green Bay Chamber of Commerce, Adjunct Professor of UW-Wisconsin, Executive Director of the Wauwatosa Economic Development Corporation, Consultant to Wisconsin Electric Power Company, Executive Director of the Sauk County Development Corporation, and Planning Director for the City of Oshkosh. Paul was educated at UW-Green Bay where he achieved his BS in Urban Analysis. He then received his MS in Urban Planning at Iowa State University. In his years as VP of the Green Bay Chamber, Paul managed the old incubator on Potts Avenue in Green Bay and then established the new incubator at NWTC. He was also instrumental in the creation of NEWREP. Paul began his duties on May 7, 2012.
