Mountain

Driving north on Highway 32, you’ll notice a difference in the scenery, changing from farms and fields to trees, lakes and forests. You’ve entered the Town of Mountain and are officially “Up North”. Our businesses are ready to cater to you, making your vacation more enjoyable. Located about an hour north of both Green Bay and Appleton, we’re close enough for a quick getaway, but far enough to make it count.

Many outdoor recreational activities are offered in our area including swimming, boating,  fishing, horseback riding, camping, hiking, canoeing, tubing, biking, and hunting.  Snowmobile and ATV trails wind through the National Forest and connect to our businesses and nearby communities.

Many events are offered throughout the seasons. In February the oldest Annual Fish-o-rama in the state is sponsored by the Mountain Fire Dept Auxiliary. Snowmobile Ice Drags and Truck & ATV Ice Drags sponsored by the Mountain Area Business Association are held on Chute Pond. Our Kid’s Fish-or-ee is always on opening day of Trout season. Make sure you visit our website at www.mtnaba.org for our calendar of events or check the Discovery Guide on-line at www.ocontocounty.org

Area organizations include the Mountain Historical Society, Mountain Area Business Association, Crooked Lake/Mountain Lions Club, Chute Pond Snowmobile Club, Dusty Trails ATV Club and many more.

Whether you come to Mountain to visit, live, or start a business, you will be welcome in our community.
